Dr. Asma Malik, a Nashville Lifestyle’s topDENTISTS™, is a highly skilled and expertly trained dentist in Brentwood, Tennessee. She has been privileged to serve the dental needs of our community for decades. Dr. Malik and her skillful team take pride in providing the highest quality Restorative, Cosmetic, Sedation & Implant Dentistry to their valued patients. Since graduating from West Virginia University - School of Dentistry in 1995, Dr. Malik has been providing her patients with exceptional care, cutting-edge new services, and outstanding patient comfort options.
Dr. Malik’s dedication to countless hours of continuing dental education allows her to deliver quality dentistry, utilizing the latest technological advancements. These include CEREC®, single-visit crowns, 3D Imaging, Implant Dentistry, and Invisalign®. She places great value on servicing patients without access to dental care through volunteer services, both locally & internationally.
When away from the office, Dr. Malik can be found spending quality outdoor time with her three children and her husband, who happens to be a local cardiologist. She enjoys long walks, gardening, cooking, tennis…the beach! Meet Lisa, our Front Office Coordinator who brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our practice.
Lisa’s journey in the dental industry began in 2004 in Phoenix, AZ. After entering the dental field she realized that it was the perfect avenue for her career aspirations. “Being a part of changing someone's life through simply giving them a smile is gratifying. I’m lucky to be a part of creating smiles every day!”
Lisa’s warm and approachable demeanor creates a welcoming environment. She enjoys working closely with patients to ensure they receive the best treatment and consistently positive experience at each visit.
Away from work, Lisa was married in 2014 and has two grown children and two grandchildren who are dear to her heart. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, playing with her three dogs, Bella, Willy, and Jayla, fitness, cooking, and riding her Harley motorcycle. Lisa is excited to have a career that she loves and is grateful to be working with such an amazing practice at Brentwood Dental Excellence.
Cassandra,
Insurance Coordinator
Cassandra was born and raised in Florida, where her love for faith, family, friends, and Florida State football grew. She spent some time in Colorado, where she met her husband. While in Colorado, Cassandra was introduced to the field of dentistry. Helping patients quickly became a passion of hers, especially when dealing with something as challenging as insurance.
“With the pandemic hitting, it was the perfect time to make a change and make Tennessee our new home. We have greatly enjoyed Music City, fishing, and the southern comfort. It is an honor to work with Dr Malik and be a part of this wonderful team! It’s a joy to meet all of our amazing patients! I can’t wait to see what the future holds!”
Lauren,
Hygiene Coordinator
Born and raised in Denver, Colorado - Lauren recently made the exciting move to Nashville. With a passion for dentistry that started back in 2017, Lauren has been a sterile technician, dental assistant, and has found her calling at the front desk being able to embrace the opportunity to engage with every patient and build important connections.
“I joined the dental world because I love being able to be apart of the journey of patients falling in love with their smile that radiates health and happiness.”
Beyond the dental office, Lauren loves attending a variety of concerts with friends, cherishing moments with family, writing music, and spending time with her cat Nino.

Blanca, EFDA
Blanca joined our practice in 2018 while earning her degree from Brightwood College. She has lived in Nashville since 2003. Being born in Mexico, Blanca is fluent in Spanish which, along with her caring personality, provides another level of service to our patients when needed. “Being able to help give confidence to patients through their smiles is why I chose to become a dental assistant.”
When Blanca is not at work, she enjoys hiking with her two dogs, Sugar and Balin, volleyball, arts and crafts, and vacationing with her family. She is family-oriented and her faith and religion are important to her!

Khannaw, RDA
Khannaw is a native Kurdish from Iraq, where she received her bachelor’s degree in English. She moved to the US in 2009 and made Nashville her new home!
Khannaw received a dental assistant diploma from Remington College in 2013 and for over 10 years she has been enjoying her profession.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two kids and loves going to the gym and hiking.
“Helping people and the community runs in my family…long line of dentists, doctors and nurses. Our house was that home everyone ran to in case of a medical emergency.”
Summer, RDH
Summer was born in a small town in Georgia. On her 1st birthday, her family moved to Brentwood, TN where they have lived ever since. She is as close to a Nashville native as you can get. Summer attended Chattanooga State Community College where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with an Associated of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She has also received her certification to administer local anesthesia. Summer joined our hygiene team in 2018 and is glad to be back in her hometown.

When not in the office, Summer enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going on adventures with her dog Nash, going on trips to the beach, and attending sporting events.
Ashley, RDH
Ashley is a Nashville, TN native. She received her bachelors degree in Liberal Studies from Middle Tennessee State University. Shortly after completion of the degree, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona to become a licensed esthetician. She has worked in the skincare industry for eight years. With a passion for health and serving others, Ashley continued her education and received an Associates degree in Dental Hygiene from South College.
“I look forward to building new relationships and providing quality care with compassion.”
Outside of work, Ashley enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, bike riding, hiking, and singing karaoke.
Ahilyn, RDH
Ahilyn was born in Honduras and moved to the United States at age of 15, and since then, she has lived in Nashville, TN.
Ahilyn attended South College in Nashville to get her dental hygiene education. She has received an Associates degree in Dental Hygiene with a certification in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide. She is currently working on her Bachelor's degree.
"When I think about dental hygiene, I think of something that was not planned but meant to be. Throughout my school journey, I fell in love with the profession and being part of positive changes in patients' oral health. I am thankful to be part of the Brentwood Dental Excellence team and excited to meet you all and work together to maintain good oral health."
When Ahilyn is not working, she likes to spend time with her family and loves weekend carne asada. She loves watching action movies with her younger brother, also going to the lake and taking long walks. She can also spend hours in bed watching Korean, Thai, and Chinese dramas.

Therapy Dog
We’re excited to introduce our canine member of the Brentwood Dental Excellence Team-Therapy Dog Chai. Chai is an F1b, hypoallergenic Golden Doodle who has received special training to behave as a therapy dog in our office. We’ve brought Chai onto our team to help make the office more comfortable for patients who experience dental anxiety.
Therapy dogs have been shown to reduce blood pressure, lower stress and anxiety levels, and stimulate the release of endorphins. We know that there is a large percentage of the population that avoids the dentist due to fear.
At Brentwood Dental Excellence, we offer a variety of methods to help calm anxious patients including sedation dentistry and nitrous. A therapy dog is just one more way we hope to bridge the gap for a very brave patient who is looking to rebuild the relationship with dentistry.
